Christmas Tree Swap

We are having a Christmas Tree Swap on the Fabric in Altered Arts 2 group.  I haven't participated in many swaps recently.  However, I did sign up for this swap.  The tree was to be approximately 12" high, incorporate fabric on a flat surface, and include a hanger.  After the tree was completed, we were to add embellishments.  I made this little tree from scraps of green fabric.  It is stitched to a PelTex base.  I used my sewing machine, rhinestones, and Stickles to embellish the tree.  Thanks to Cathy over at Fabric in Altered Arts 2 for hostessing the swap.

Last Pages from Halloween Book

I'm back to posting some of my projects.  I'm hoping to show you some of the things I've been doing for the past two weeks when I had no computer.  (Well actually I did use the laptop from the motorhome to check emails but not much else)

Here are the last two pages of my Halloween Altered Book.  I continued to use vintage witch images and pictures of the two GDs.  I found the little trick or treat bags at the thrift store some time ago.  I knew I would use them in my altered art.  The bags worked perfectly on these two pages.  I also used some twisted copper wire to embellish the pages.  Gold Stickles was applied to the pumpkin's face.  Button is from WalMart.  This was a fun book.  Can't wait to show you the fun book I made today in a class at Paper Vineyard in Chandler. 

Letter "I" quiltie - Inked Image

This is my March quiltie for Fabric in Altered Arts 2.  We are doing the alphabet and this month's letter was "I".  The theme was inked images with embellishments.  This is my nigthscape.  The background and moon are "inked" with Paintstiks. They were samples from a class I took last year.  I came across them while organizing my studio and thought they would make a great quiltie.  (My goal is to use "stuff" in my studio.)  The embellishments are crystals and Stickles.  The moon is red paintstick over yellow fabric.
