Pink Saturday

Vintage Pink Check

I love to find vintage sewing patterns at thrift stores and use them in my altered fabric art. They bring back so many memories. This little pink check reminds me of my high school days. (Darts, fitted waist, big skirts, petticoats, and bows in my hair) Those days are long gone and so is my 23" waist!!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting my Pink Saturday post this week. To find out more about Pink Saturday, check out How Sweet the Sound.

That was a big fashion style in its day. Patterns are still around, but not as many people sew their own cloths anymore. Nice post.

I love vintage patterns too! I just got a pile of them from our local Salvation Army store. I'm planning to use them in my altered art, as well. Thinking of some paper dolls! And I love the dress style too. No longer fits me either :-).

Welcome to Pink Saturday! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Smiles,
Tricia

I love to get dressed up once and awhile. I think the vintage clothing was cool. But time marches on. So I wear blue jeans and sweatshirts with crocs. Are you planning on making that dress and wearing it? It is lovely.

What a fun post for Pink Saturday! Oh, for the days of the 23" waist. I do remember wearing fitted shirt dresses. Doubt that I ever see that waist size again in my closet, but that's OK. LOL
