First Block Completed

I completed the center block for my Civil War Block of the Month.  The square is 16 1/2".  I was amazed at how well the corners matched on each piece.  I used my AccuQuilt Go to cut most of the pieces.  I was lucky to have the right templates.  Probably won't be a lucky on some of the remaining pieces.

I also took time to read the Chronicle that comes with each month's block.  This month's chronicle featured Mary Custis Lee.  Wife of Robert E. Lee and great grand-daughter of Martha Washington.

Great job, Pam! I love these fabrics....they do look so vintage and perfect for this block. How neat that a history comes with each block. This makes me really want to piece, but I'm determined not to start another quilt project until I've finished quilting tops already made! I'll just enjoy seeing yours!

Wow Pam! You work fast! Your first block is great. Sounds like a great project, especially getting interesting historical information with each block you do. Hope the weather has warmed up for you. We had clouds for nearly a week -- blue skies today with some clouds, but temps were nice for baseball this morning. Best wishes to you, tammy
