Another Block of the Month

Call me crazy but I have decided to join a second block of the month club at Three Dudes Quilting.  This one is called Chestnut and Vine.  It is from Bloom Creek.  I am currently working on the center block.  It includes applique.  I'm not a fan of applique but they assured me that there wasn't enough applique to keep me from enjoying this quilt.  So far I have attached one set of stems.  After much thought, I decided to use a machine applique stitch and invisible top thread.  It looks good so far.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.  Wish me luck working on two block of the months at the same time.  Since we aren't traveling this spring due to DH's health issues, I decided to keep myself busy with quilting projects.  It's been a few years since I concentrated on my quilting.

I think this is wonderful.........I am not a piecer so it would be a chalange for me........Hugs Mary

I'm sure your finished quilt will be gorgeous. Another project each month? Sounds like a great opportunity.
